The Free Store for Teachers Open for Shopping

We've kicked off the school year with great finds at the Free Store for Teachers. From basic school supplies to games and office supplies, hundreds of teachers filled their carts and brought supplies back to their students. Under-served kids throughout Multnomah County have new school supplies, and their teachers didn’t have to pay for them.

Tools for Schools Means Back-to-School Success

Thank you to our partners and their employee volunteers for supporting our Tools for Schools program. Because of you, every student at our Tools for Schools partner schools started this school year with the excitement of a brand new backpack full of school supplies. Together, you've packed 10,000 school supply kits that went directly into students' hands.

The KGW School Supply Drive Brings Community Together

Kicking off the school year, with our community’s support, over $1 million worth of donations was collected throughout the month of August for the KGW School Supply Drive. (Our biggest and most successful year yet!) This means more than 40,000 students in 75+ school districts received brand new school supplies to start their school year!

Thanks to the thousands of individuals, hundreds of businesses and community partners, and the many collection sites, our community showed up for Oregon and SW Washington students.

To everyone who contributed financially, donated school supplies, or volunteered their time - thank you! We are immensely grateful for your support, friendship, and partnership.

A huge thank you to our kind sponsors for this year's supply drive:

Safeway, OnPoint Community Credit Union, Rick's Custom Fencing & Decking, KGW, Columbia Sportswear Employee Store, Washington Square Mall, & Windermere

We couldn't have done this without you!!
