KATU and OnPoint Community Credit Union are proud to align with Schoolhouse Supplies in the group's mission to support public education in the Portland area by providing free school supplies to students in need. Their ultimate goal is to level the playing field so every child has access to the tools that allow them to achieve academic success.

Many kids, whether learning in school or at home, are in desperate need of basic school supplies like paper, pencils, and scissors that many families can’t afford.

Every $20 you donate provides one student with basic school supplies for the second semester. Your donation combined with others can result in enough supplies to serve an entire classroom, a school, and then a community.

Together, we can do this - one classroom at a time.

About Schoolhouse Supplies

Since opening our doors in 1999, the Schoolhouse Supplies mission remains the same: to support public education in the Portland area by providing free school supplies to students in need. We do this because we believe that every child deserves school supplies and has the right to a quality education regardless of their family’s income or racial/ethnic identity.

Our ultimate goal is to level the playing field so every child has access to the tools that allow them to achieve academic success and feel confident. The program delivery model achieves additional goals through community engagement and by keeping supplies out of the waste stream.

Our Impact

We are proud to partner with a caring community to accomplish our goals.  Thanks to you, Schoolhouse Supplies has distributed over $35 million in free school supplies and benefited hundreds of thousands of children.

Each year, Schoolhouse Supplies partners with many local businesses to sponsor programs, host supply drives and involve employees as volunteers. Thousands of individuals donate time, dollars, and new and gently used products to support local students.
